Quicken 2006 OS X - Online QFX not importing

When downloading and then importing a QFX file into the Download transaction window - a popup would flash and then no data would appear. As it turns out, this can be caused by a full cache and or other data stored by IE. Clear the cache, cookies, and history and give it another try. What is really interesting is that I was not even using IE to download the transactions leading me to believe that Quicken 2006 on OS X might have dependencies on IE. Note that I also uninstalled Camino but that appears to have no connection.
